What is WaidStart?
The WaidStart program was launched by JAGD & HUND magazine and supports young hunters from obtaining their hunting license and acquiring their first equipment to securing their own hunting grounds. As an exhibitor partner of the program, we support you with a task that arises every spring: rescuing fawns before mowing.

Experience fawn rescue live – start POICloud for free
At our booth, we'll demonstrate how a modern fawn rescue operation works: setting up a designated area, planning the drone flight, and relaying findings to the ground team in real time.
As a new hunter, you'll receive free access to the POICloud and POIApp, along with a personal introduction. This will allow you to participate directly in your hunting area or fawn rescue team during the next mowing season.

Fawn rescue using a drone
How does fawn rescue with a thermal imaging drone work, and how can you get started as a new hunter? In our free webinar, we'll show you the process from coordinating with the farmer and planning the flight to rescuing the fawn.

Document wild boar damage quickly and transparently: In our free webinar, we'll show you the workflow from surveying with an RTK drone to generating a complete report. Participants will receive our wildlife damage analysis software free of charge.

Who can participate in WaidStart?
All young hunters participating in the WaidStart program.
Do I need my own drone?
For teamwork on the ground, the POI app on your smartphone is sufficient. For your own search flights, you'll need a thermal imaging drone – we'll show you which technology is suitable in the webinar.
What documentation do I need for drone flights?
It depends on the drone and its intended use. In the webinar, we explain the rules of the EU drone regulation and what proof of competence you need.
How long is access to POICloud free?

thermal DRONES is a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and has been involved in fawn rescue using drones since the beginning. As a DJI Gold Partner, we also supply thermal imaging drones along with training.
