    POI Studio

    Die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem DLR entwickelte Auswertungssoftware POIStudio arbeitet bereits seit mehreren Jahren mit einer KI zur Unterstützung bei der Detektion von Rehkitzen auf Wärmebildern. Dank ausgeklügelter und fortgeschrittener Algorithmen zur Bildoptimierung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem installierten KI-Modell lassen sich Rehkitze und andere Wildtiere selbst bei Tageslicht und schlechten Lichtbedingungen noch zuverlässig erkennen. Darüber hinaus bietet die Möglichkeit zur Parallelisierung der Arbeitsschritte in der Wildtierrettung ganz neue Chancen hinsichtlich Flächenleistung und Ressourcennutzung.

    POIStudio erhaltet ihr beim Kauf einer Wärmebilddrohne bei uns immer kostenlos im Softwarepaket der POISuite mit dazu. Damit lässt sich die Effizienz und Effektivität eurer Einsätze - egal, ob in der Rehkitzrettung oder im Brutvogelschutz - auf ein ganz neues Level heben! Und Dank der geplanten Integration von zusätzlichen KI-Modellen, wird POIStudio als Tool zur Georeferenzierung von Funden auf dem Wärmebild noch mächtiger und effektiver als zuvor.

    Onboard AI

    With the release of DJI's Matrice 4 series, artificial intelligence has become increasingly prominent in (thermal imaging) drones. The integrated onboard AI computer can run pre-built or custom-created AI models locally on the drone, requiring no additional external components. Thanks to the DJI API, virtually anyone can submit a model and make it usable for specific drones. We have also released such a model for free testing, which can locate fawns and nests in the field in just a few moments. The AI model is available for the Matrice 4 (4T/4E), the Matrice 4(T)D, and the Matrice 400.

    Training data

    Our goal is to make wildlife rescue as efficient and effective as possible in the future. This includes using artificial intelligence in combination with drones, our software, and agricultural vehicles.

    All of this is only possible with a solid data foundation to further improve and continuously develop our AI. We need your help! Please send us your image data from fawn rescue operations or similar applications (e.g., easily via POICloud) and help us get closer to our goal step by step!
