Fawn Rescue: Accepting Jobs Online with Digital Field and Job Registration
If you want to accept fawn rescue jobs online, let farmers enter their fields and mowing dates in POICloud themselves. Every farmer has an account for this, which they open through their personal link: the key is part of the link, and they need neither a username nor a password. The fields stay saved for years, and for every mowing the farmer submits a request. You get exact fields and sorted requests, and the operation plan and flight routes are generated from them automatically. This article shows what digital registration does, how it works and which features are behind it.

Benefits for farmers
What farmers get from digital registration
Farmers set up their fields once. After that, all they have to report before mowing is the date.
-
Fields
Exact fields, managed for years
They set up their fields precisely in their account and manage them there for years. Next season all the data is already in place.
-
Request
One request for every mowing
When they want to mow, they submit a request for the field with the mowing date. The phone call to agree on it is no longer needed.
-
Status
Informed when the meadow has been searched
The farmer is informed automatically about the status of their field and does not have to ask whether their meadow has been done yet.
-
Finds
Finds and secured fawns at a glance
With your approval they see the finds and the positions of secured fawns on their field.
-
Evaluation
Statistics for every farmer
Every farmer has their own statistics. After each operation they also get the job report as a PDF.
-
Agreement
Fewer phone calls, no mistakes with the fields
The field is shown exactly on the map. There are no mistakes when agreeing on the fields.

Features
The features of online registration
From the sign-up page to the job report: these are the features behind digital field and job registration.
-
Access
Sign-up page and contact link
Your team has a public sign-up page with a logo and a welcome text for each language. Farmers receive their personal contact link, there is no password.
-
Contacts
Create and invite contacts
You create contacts yourself or import them from a CSV file and send the link by email or WhatsApp. If a link gets lost, the farmer requests a new one from you.
-
Fields
Fields by click, drawing or file
One click into the field creates the area, and anyone who prefers to draw sees the length of every edge. Existing field boundaries come in as KML, KMZ, GPX, JSON or CSV, with a preview and detection of duplicate fields.
-
Fields
Names and notes for each field
Every field gets a name and notes such as access route or launch site. The fields stay saved for years.
-
Request
Request with your details
The farmer chooses the field on the map or in the field list. You define which details the form asks for in each division: text, number, yes or no, selection list or date, as a required field if you like.
-
Permissions
Permissions per division and contact
Who may submit requests to which division is set for the whole organization and, where needed, differently for individual contacts. You enable individually what farmers may see.
-
Notification
Email for every new request
Your dispatch receives an email and accepts the request, and it becomes a job with a team and a date. You set separately which emails you receive.
-
Planning
Automatic operation planning
The operation plan is created from the requests, even for 20 teams in no time. Every team has its schedule on the phone.
-
Flight routes
Flight routes without drawing
The routes are created from the farmers' fields and go straight to the remote controller with POIConnect. You do not draw any fields and do not plan any missions.

Status
Status in colour, lists with filters
On the map the colour of a field shows its status: blue without a job, red with an open job, green when done. You filter the lists by Today, 7 days, 30 days or a period of your choice.
-
Farmer
The farmer's view
Through their link the farmer sees fields, jobs, operations and reports, and with your approval also finds, positions of secured fawns and the live image. They do not see other farms' data.
-
Documentation
Job report and statistics
After the operation you get the job report as a PDF with aerial image, field boundary and list of finds as proof. There are also statistics for every farmer.

Proof, but no guarantee
The job report documents what was flown and found. It does not guarantee that the field is free of animals. The shorter the gap between searching and mowing, the less likely it is that animals are in the field: no more than two to three hours should pass between the search and the start of mowing.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about jobs and fields
Do farmers need a password?
No. Access is a personal link that contains the key. Farmers save it as a bookmark, they do not have to install anything, a current browser is enough.
How early should farmers report the mowing date?
Ideally one to two days in advance. The day before, they check the date and correct it if the weather shifts it.
Can farmers withdraw an accepted request?
Not by themselves at the moment. They contact the team, and the dispatcher deletes the job.
Can we import contacts from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Contacts can be created or imported via CSV file. The invitation goes out by email or as a WhatsApp link.
How do we find out about a new request?
Organization members receive an email. The request also appears on the map and in the job list.
What does POICloud cost?
Fawn rescue teams can use POICloud free of charge. A POICloud account and the POIApp are free. You buy POIConnect for your drone and POIStudio for evaluation on the PC once, as a license, and both are included permanently with a DJI Enterprise drone from us. Prices are listed under Pricing and licenses.
