Full-time or part-time, starting as soon as possible

With a growing team, we are committed to protecting wildlife and saving lives. Positive impact through technology and innovation is in our DNA. thermal DRONES was founded in 2020 and is a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) based in Greifswald. We have offices in Greifswald and Fahrenzhausen in southern Germany. In recent years, we have become a technology leader, and we are looking for someone who can elevate our marketing to this level as well.

Your task

You are responsible for our marketing across the board and help decide where the focus lies:

  • Strategy development
  • Brand development
  • Content and editorial work — from the product page to the deployment report
  • Social media, website and visibility on Google

This is what you bring with you

  • Interest in being effective in a team towards our goals.
  • We are interested in understanding our customers and their mission.
  • A solid foundation in marketing: training, studies or several years of practical experience that you can demonstrate.
  • You work independently. You recognize for yourself what is important.
  • You can handle a camera and editing software, at least to a level sufficient for social media and the web.
  • We appreciate a personal connection to our topics (wildlife rescue, drones, nature, emergency services).

What you have with us

  • Work that visibly makes a difference. What you communicate leads to more people using the technology. And every additional use means animals that survive the morning. This isn't a marketing story, it's the logic behind it.
  • You manage your hours completely yourself. Completely. During fawn season, we're busy from four in the morning, but not so much in November — the work schedule is based on that, not on core hours.
  • Full-time or part-time, the scope is negotiable and not a disqualifying factor.
  • A team that's fun to be with. Small enough that everyone knows each other. United for a common goal.
  • Very flat hierarchy. Short communication channels, quick decisions, personal responsibility.
  • We are growing, and new applications are constantly being added. What is fawn rescue today will be breeding bird protection, surveying, or a fire brigade operation tomorrow.
